Game over :-(

I don’t have a picture, and really you should be glad I don’t have a picture….The unthinkable has happened….
my child threw up…
oh no,
it gets worse…
he threw up

on me…

Those of you familiar with me know that I will not throw up, under any circumstances… It turns out that R also has a stomach of iron, and only threw up once so far, last year at age 6. Quite a feat. I was really hoping J would take after her in this respect. Alas no.

The poor boy woke up last night throwing up. Thankfully daddy took care of that. However, once everyone left this morning it was just me and the sick J man. He had gone back to sleep, so when I went to get him at 9, his room had a yucky smell…yup, he had thrown up in his bed. Needless to say i took him right for a bath. He was really pathetic. He desparately wanted to drink, and I was really mean limiting him to a few sips every 15 minutes. All looked ok until lunch. The sort of threw up then, I called it a very generous spit up. However the afternoon was another story. He napped for a while, fittfully, while in my arms. I couldn’t put him down. Just as I was about to get his jacket on to go get the kids from school, he threw up all over me, himself and the floor. Do you wonder why I mention the floor?? Again for those of you who know me, you know that I don’t tollerate any mess on cleaning days. And just this morning our lovely cleaners were here, and everything was spotless…well not now anymore. Anyways. You would be proud of me. After beating back my own instinct to gag, I calmly stripped J, and my shirt off, mopped the floor, and promptly called dear neighbour J to ask her to get the kids from school. Then I dropped all our clothes in the wash on HOT, with extra stain remover applied, dressed us both again, and sat down to regroup.
R came home, and the little J man perked up a bit “Beca, beca, beca, beca” But still was miserable and needed to be held. Daddy picked up subs for supper, and J had a bit of water and a cracker. He started crying, and sure enough he threw up on daddy… He’s cleaned up and in bed now, but I’m not sure how the night will go…or tomorrow for that matter!

Oh, that was a horrifyingly funny story. I envisioned every move as I read! Poor you, and A and the floor, really sorry for the floor. I hope all is better now, and I feel relieved that there wasn’t a picture!
