R’s birthday at school

R had a great time at school today. She had a little party in her classroom. Unfortunately, there were only 4 kids in total (lots out sick), but she had a great time anyway. She got to pick all the games they played, and I think ‘Hot Potato” was her favourite.

Palm Sunday

Today was Palm Sunday. R really enjoyed waving her palm branch. She was most insisten in telling me that she wanted to lead the procession. I told her she could be the first person after the leader, and that seemed to satisfy her. She has no qualms of being a leader!

Z in the Hospital

Little Z is in the hospital with an unexplained fever. She seems to be doing better today, she may even get home tomorrow. I managed to snap a family picture while visiting. Note* both V and B complained that they had ‘hospital hair’. I told them that it was quite alright, as they were in a hospital.

My baby is 4….

Well. I don’t know where the time has gone, but my baby girl is 4. Sigh. I seem to fall in love with every stage she’s at, but it gets harder to remember her when she was just a baby! Anyways, we had a big party, lots of kids. R loved it, and told me her favourite part was ‘the presents’. I will get some picture in a gallery when I have a minute. Check back.

Fun with friends

We had a fun morning at our friend’s house. Auntie V and little Z came too, so we got some cute pictures in. It is always a delight to be with them. Later in the afternoon R and I had a fun session with “Straws and Connectors” a great little toy. We built a large boat for her, and she sailed with her dollies.

A day at R’s Preschool

R goes to this great preschool. I was the snack mom today. They had pickles, grapefruit, apples, cantelope and broccoli for snack. (they always have a great variety of fruits and veg). Anyways. The new play centre this week is Asian cooking. So they have asian menus, asian dishes, woks, bamboo baskets etc. It is quite neat. So R and her friend were hanging out there, and dressing up in the process, so I quick snapped a picture.

Day 100

Well. Today is Day 100 of waiting. Let’s just say waiting is no fun. I thought we’d have our referral by now. In order to ‘celebrate’, we bought a very delicious Vanilla bean cake. It was excellent, but having a referral would be more excellent. Still, R thought the cake was very good!

Zoya…zzzzz

R working

R is working very dilligently on her very own computer!

I had to watch

I had to watch Alison today. I wasn’t really in the mood to have to have her with us for the day, but I was a good sport and did it anyway. We went to Let’s Play in the morning (playgroup at church). J was not very happy at all, he kept crying. Those teeth I think. Alison was aslo pretty quiet, she mostly watched from the sidelines, but near the end she took a ride in the little tykes car. J was so tired he went to nap as soon as we got home, and Alison went down to nap with him readily. J however, was not happy when he woke up. Lunch was next, Alison didn’t want to eat anything, even when I offered her toast. I then took her with us to J’s therapy. She pretty much just sat off to the side, but she did seem to like the toys in the waiting room. All in all I can’t complain. But I was happy when her mom came to get her after school. I know it sounds like she was a pain to have around, but really, her mom is only paying me one dollar a day to look after her, and she has the nerve to give me a list of things I need to do for her…sigh. I must be a saint…

Have you guessed yet?

Alison is R’s doll. I had to take pictures to proove to my daughter that I did take her everywhere…
